The saying goes that "if you want to get something done, give it to a busy person." I am not so sure that applies to me! There are only 24 hours in a day and I have a bad habit of starting too many projects at one time! Does that sound like any of you?
I still have to hem or put on a skirt...not sure yet.
Here is what it's SUPPOSED to look like
Ottoman from "Slipcovers by Shelly" This is my first attempt ever at slip covers and I just didn't get the two seams lined up well. I probably should have cut one long piece with only one seam to go all the way around. I am learning!
I will keep going and come back to it after I know I have enough fabric to finish a chair. Here I go!
There are fabulous girls out there that have inspired me to do this. Every time I go look at their blogs, I pull the fabric out and do a little more. This blog -
Pink and Polkadot - got me started. I LOVE this blog! I downloaded her ebook and it has and continues to help me a great deal. I also have a book on slipcovering that I frequently reference.
Other blogs I have read to learn about slip covers are:
Cozy Cottage SlipcoversSlip Cover Chic
Much To Do With Nothing
Custom Slipcovers by Shelley - I bought her How to Make Slipcover DVD
I will just stick with this project until I get it finished, even if it takes years!
Thanks for stopping by today and I will keep you posted.

HI Peggy,
I am so thrilled to see my blog on your slipcover blogs list.
Thanks

Peggy, you are off to a great start; don't get discouraged. I'm sure if I looked back at my first slipcovers, I would just cringe!
Thanks for commenting, Angie! I won't give up. I find new resources each day. The hardest part is cutting and being afraid of cutting too much! I CAN do this!
Thanks again!
love your slipcover. thanks so much for all your encouraging words!
